Hotel Marielle Val Thorens has based its name on Marielle Goitschel, a skilled skier who is still the French champion with the most titles in alpine skiing.

A soul that draws on Marielle, a woman with a fighting spirit, a multiple-time Olympic champion, one of the pioneers behind the creation of the Val Thorens resort in the 1980s and founder of the establishment in 2000.

While Val Thorens has an international reputation, it remains first and foremost the highest village in Europe. At an altitude of 2,300 metres, the atmosphere is unlike anywhere else. The ski resort is semi-pedestrianised, with traditional and modern urban spaces scattered around.
This outstanding place in the heart of the 3 Vallées area boasts the biggest ski field in the world, with over 600 km of ski runs. Here, snow sports reign supreme in all forms and at all levels, with snowparks, boardercross, a kids area, a slalom stadium and a 6 km luge track.
