Events not to be missed at the Hotel Marielle in Val Thorens

Winter is drawing to a close, but the festive atmosphere is still going strong in Val Thorens! At the Hôtel Marielle, we've planned a rich program of events to prolong the pleasure of fine weather. From Japanese traditions to a not-to-be-missed festival, a guinguette atmosphere and convivial barbecues, here's what's in store for you over the coming weeks.

1.🎤 Festivaltho - March 18-20

Once again this year, Val Thorens plays host to Festivaltho, the season's must-attend music event! Three days of live concerts, entertainment and parties to celebrate the love of music and the mountains.

Hôtel Marielle is proud to be the festival's only official hotel partner, and we've got a few surprises in store for you. Whether you're a fan of rock, electro or pop, this2025 edition promises an eclectic program that will delight all music lovers. 2.🌸 Japanese spring at Hôtel Marielle - March 21

On March 21, the Hotel Marielle invites you to take a trip to Japan to celebrate the arrival of spring. To celebrate this season of renewal, we invite you to gather around our magnificent Japanese cherry tree for a day dedicated to Japanese culture.

On the program:

• 🍣 A sushi stand : A unique opportunity to observe the savoir-faire of the vice world sushi champion.
• 🍶 S ake and liqueur tasting: Discover the subtleties of this traditional Japanese drink and be surprised by its different flavors.
• 📖 Manga workshop: Immerse yourself in the world of manga and learn more about this fascinating art form, whether you're an amateur or an enthusiast.
• 🏯 S umo wrestling animation: Enter the arena and try your hand at sumo, an ancestral discipline as impressive as it is fun!
• 🎶 Nipponese musical ambience: Let yourself be transported by haunting Japanese sounds throughout the event.

A moment out of time, ideal for getting away from it all and discovering the wonders of Japanese culture without leaving the Alps!

3.🎺 Guinguette - April 12 to 14

The warm weather is approaching, and with it the desire for convivial outdoor moments. The Hôtel Marielle invites you to its Guinguette, a festive event full of relaxation and good cheer!

For three days, come and enjoy a warm and authentic atmosphere with :

• 🏆 A pétanque tournament: challenge the world freestyle pétanque champion and win lots of prizes!
• 🔥 A gourmet BBQ: Grilled meats and Savoyard specialities will be on hand to delight your taste buds.
• 🎶 Concerts and brass bands: Artists and groups will set the mood for a weekend of music and dancing.

A great way to savour the last moments of the ski season in an enchanting setting.

4.🌭 Bring back your sausage - Saturdays, April 19, April 26 and May 3

Because there's nothing like a good barbecue after a day on the slopes, we're offering you three days of conviviality with our "Bring your sausage" event, starting at 12 noon!

The principle is simple:
✅Weprovide a self-service barbecue
✅Youbring your own sausages, kebabs or other delicacies to grill
✅Youenjoy a moment of sharing with friends, family or other skiers.

A simple, warm atmosphere, perfect for enjoying the fresh air and the pleasures of the mountains right up to the last days of the season.
